Harry's drawing of a Hydra

Harry’s drawing of a Hydra

Harry started today’s letter by teasing Effie a bit, something she admitted doing to him in hers of the 24th. He also told her that he was glad she had a confidant in Ada Hull and went on to describe his specimen collecting expedition.

“Here is an important problem for if I call you darling I may shock your sense of propriety and if I call you cousin I may not do justice to my feelings.” Osborn, Henry 1884-9-29
