Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Effie responded to Harry’s suggestion that she visit his family by telling him that it was their place to make the first move; she couldn’t just foist herself upon them. Finding time for letter writing was still a problem and she missed his daily letters. She continued to be coy about Mr. Hyde’s compliment.

“When I am meek I’m in a pretty bad condition.” Osborn, Effie 1884-10-21
