Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Harry wrote two letters again today. The first covered only the revelation about Miss Belle, while the second continued that topic and talked about his recent letter to his sister Sue, overwork, the election and Effie’s safety when returning home after dark. Unfortunately, we know no more about Miss Belle than what appears in Harry’s letters.

“I didn’t dream what was the trouble.” Osborn, Henry 1884-11-10a

“I like your pluck and think that that has for one thing drawn me nearer to you than any thing else before I began to see your lovely soul which I could only see since that eventful eighth.” Osborn, Henry 1884-11-10b
