Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Harry wrote today about his interest in Germans, asking for his mother’s intervention with his sisters, and activities at Purdue.

Meanwhile, Effie continued to worry about being unable to please Harry in regard to the frequency of her letters and gave him a scolding.

“We are having a cold snap and I guess we may have skating for Thanksgiving if the cold keeps up.” Osborn, Henry 1884-11-23

“I can get along with any one who “fires out” but I am always uncomfortable if anyone acts hurt & abused, & instead of coming out frankly and having it out & getting it over, keeps quiet & sulks over it.” Osborn, Effie 1884-11-23
