Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Much of Effie’s letter was on letter writing. She also told Harry about social events and her plans to go to the opera. Augustin Daly (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Augustin_Daly) and Leopold Damrosch (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leopold_Damrosch) are two of the people she mentioned. She also revealed that the soprano Emma Nevada                       (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emma_Nevada) had been a schoolmate of Effie’s cousin Emma Bray Cohen.

“I have never liked to write letters when there was any one around.” Osborn, Effie 1884-11-11
