Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Harry didn’t concentrate on his longing for letters today and, instead, found time to write about musical instructions he had sent to his sister Sue, trips he and Effie might take during the coming summer, the Sunday School class he was teaching, and calls he had made on other professors. He also asked Effie to make some neckties for him.

“I have felt very lonely & full of longing but this time my love has triumphed and I have not felt badly.” Osborn, Henry 1885-1-11
