Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Between the letters Harry wrote today, he received a letter from Effie that had him ruing his ways. In the first letter, he explained two discrepancies in dates: when he would be leaving Purdue for the East and an inaccurate date in his previously sent biography. In the second, he worried over Effie’s health and rejoiced that Mr. Zerfass was not her type.

“[W]hen I once get started & shall be all too impatient to start when I get into the month of June.” Osborn, Henry 1885-1-13a

“Darling your love is stronger & more unselfish than mine.” Osborn, Henry 1885-1-13b
