Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

No rants about letters today. In fact, Effie vowed in hers to ignore any further fusses. Harry wrote that he had taken over playing organ for chapel and urged Effie to take a vacation in Madison. Effie touched again on Jule Bray’s guess about Harry’s feelings before their engagement, responded to his schemes for the future, and told of her enjoyment of the new comic opera “Apajune.” She also wrote about her experience making a necktie for Mr. Zerfass.

“Dont turn from me in loathing for I do think I shall keep that promise this time.” Osborn, Henry 1885-1-14

“I never saw a man yet who would put up with things that were not to suit him.” Osborn, Effie 1885-1-14
