Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Harry wrote, again, in the first letter that he never doubted her love. The second thanked her for the “right sort of letter” that he had just received and explained the copies of two articles he was sending her.

“The Sun is there & shining all the time but for the moment the little cloud of discontent hides it.” Osborn, Henry 1885-3-9a

“But lets get away from my blues.  I oughtn’t to have any blues.  It is foolish & I am brave enough now that I don’t hesitate to admit that they are foolish when I have them.” Osborn, Henry 1885-3-9b
