Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Tragedy struck Effie’s family once again. Meanwhile, Harry continued to complain about not getting enough letters and Effie’s attitude toward his position at Purdue.

“If I had the power to bring him back I wouldn’t do it.” Osborn, Effie 1885-5-9

“You feel the strongest obligation toward persons with whom you are only incidentally thrown & yet you write as though I might slight the duties I have engaged to perform with utter disregard to my promised.” Osborn, Henry 1885-5-9
