Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Effie was still blue today, especially after learning of Rem’s plans. The “Red Headed Family” she referred to was an article about the ivory-billed woodpecker written by Maurice Thompson (for more information see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maurice_Thompson and http://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/item/63659#page/1/mode/1up).

Harry was repentant and encouraging.

“I suppose I dont understand things at Purdue any better than you understand things here.” Osborn, Effie 1885-5-14

“You know that I pick everything to pieces to see it the better & you have received the most careful dissection of any of any character except my own.” Osborn, Henry 1885-5-14
