Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

In his last letter before leaving for the East, Harry wrote that he would no longer stand for Effie’s mother’s meddling in their affairs.

After their reunion and Harry’s departure for Madison, the couple wrote just three more letters before the end of June. After posting those, this blog will be on hiatus until their correspondence resumes in September.

“I tell you Darling there is no use in caring what people think.” Osborn, Henry 1885-6-10
