Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Welcome back to the Osborn letters. After a presumably blissful summer together, Harry Osborn and Effie Loag were again torn from each other’s arms by his departure for Purdue University.

“Oh darling how horrible it all is, the hurried goodbye, and then we both had to rush in a different direction.” Osborn, Effie 1885-9-8

“O Darling through this whole year it has blazed like a sun & not once gone under a cloud.” Osborn, Henry 1885-9-8
