Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Harry arrived back at Purdue University to find not much had changed, though there was a new building and a new teacher. Effie’s life was again focused on the happenings at her mother’s boarding house.

“I awoke with that awful realization I used to have all last year that you are so far away, but I am as happy as I can be without you.” Osborn, Henry 1885-9-10a

“There are an awful lot of new students here & they all want good rooms & want to pick out their chums.” Osborn, Henry 1885-9-10b

“Now Darling I must try & tell you the news[,] what little there is to tell.” Osborn, Henry 1885-9-10c

“I nearly broke my neck awhile ago rushing after the post man to ask if I could get a letter out of the office on Sunday.” Osborn, Effie 1885-9-10
