Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Harry wrote again of his trip back to Purdue and related an “adventure” he’d had the night before.

Effie’s letter focused on a trip she’d made to Brooklyn to call on friends and encounters she’d had with her cousin/adopted sister Lottie and Harry’s Aunt Mag. We also learn that she had met Miss Weed sometime during the summer.

“Darling do you know you are writing love letters[,] real genuine love letters[?]” Osborn, Henry 1885-9-13

“I didn’t think she deserved much credit for being happy when she had every thing to make her so.” Osborn, Effie 1885-9-13
