Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Harry and Effie both looked back with pleasure on their summer together. Effie also wrote that the boarding house was busy with comings and goings, which had dislodged her again. Harry was looking forward to being able to use the Barnes’ piano while they were gone. Another topic was whether secret socities would be allowed at Purdue.

“Poor Jule! Her hair would stand on end if she could have witnessed some of the scenes Fritz saw, but dear old Fritz will never tell.” Osborn, Effie 1885-9-14

“How very much good we had of each other in those happy happy three months.” Osborn, Henry 1885-9-14
