Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Much of Effie’s letter was about the separation from Harry: their feelings during it and how they would cope when reunited at Christmas. She also wrote about the interaction between Ten Eyck Reynolds and Fritz, the dog.

“It seems very selfish for me to want you to suffer as I do, yet I must confess that I am almost happy to have it so.” Osborn, Effie 1885-9-24
