Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Harry was feeling bluer than he had since returning to Purdue. He confessed to worrying about the scale of their wedding.

Nearly all of Effie’s letter was about getting another ticket for the Oratorio Society and the opera glasses that Harry had given her. She rejoiced in the return of Charlie, who worked as their waiter.

“I am a big baby & that is all there is about it.” Osborn, Henry 1885-9-30

“So Miss Weed & Miss Elder are beginning to miss you, & to wonder why you dont go up to their rooms.” Osborn, Effie 1885-9-30
