Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Effie’s letter was brief because she was having trouble finding a peaceful place to write.

Effie’s absence made Harry dissatisfied with his “cozy nest.” Other thorns in his side were Remson Schenck and his own sisters.

“…if I say the least thing there is a grand row….” Osborn, Effie 1885-10-3

“I wish you could see what a cozy nest this room is.” Osborn, Henry 1885-10-3
