Harry's new purchase

Harry’s new purchase

Harry made up for not writing the day before with three letters, though the first was just a note. In the second, a brief letter, he agreed that Effie was “as rational about expenses” as he was. The third letter explained more fully why he hadn’t written on the 7th and contained a conversation with Dr. Smart. The “Sheriden” he referred to was probably William E. Sheridan (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_E._Sheridan).

“This is only a note to reach you in case I don’t get a chance to write before tonight.” Osborn, Henry 1885-10-7a

“We shouldn’t want to lose a moment of caressing each other and talking love & kissing & looking & all the rest that kept us busy all summer & leaves us wild to keep it up now we are apart.” Osborn, Henry 1885-10-7b

“The students don’t seem satisfied.” Osborn, Henry 1885-10-7c
