Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Besides writing again to reassure Effie that he understood her, Harry let her know about two letters that he had received and he offered her the treat of tickets to the American Opera Company.

Effie, too, revisited their misunderstanding. She also told Harry about her visit with Nellie Bacon and of the return of the boarding house’s former cook.

“Our only safety is in complete confidence in each other about everything.” Osborn, Henry 1885-10-21

“My own Harry I do appreciate so much all that you say about wanting to share every thing with me & consult me about every thing, and wanting my approval.” Osborn, Effie 1885-10-21
