Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Effie wrote to thank Harry for the sheet music and $5 he had sent. She promised news of her sister Jule and Mr. Artz in her next letter.

Dr. Smart had asked Harry to write a paper for the state college association. Even without that, he had plenty to do.

“But darling you are always ready to jump to help me, and I’ll have to be careful what I way about my wants.” Osborn, Effie 1885-11-16

“I intend to make it principally a paper treating of the best methods of teaching the students who are beginning in the study of plants & animals & some of the pits they are most likely to stumble into.” Osborn, Henry 1885-11-16
