Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Both Harry and Effie wrote notes for the other to read after Harry got on his train. He also wrote a brief (and sometimes illegible) letter on the train.

“I am dumb still.” Osborn, Effie 1886-1-3

“Oh Darling it is so hard to leave you & yet it must be done.” Osborn, Henry 1886-1-3a

“I have watched your agony & Darling it has been dreadful for me to see it.” Osborn, Henry 1886-1-3b
