Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Effie had had a heart-to-heart with her mother but she didn’t have time to tell Harry much about it in today’s letter. We also get only a hint about some kind of extended family problem.

Harry introduced the new teacher, Miss Whipple, and told of Miss Weed’s improvement.

“I wonder if your pupils gave you such beastly lessons as mine have given me the last to two days.” Osborn, Effie 1886-1-5

“They thought that I was going to have Miss Weeds room & that the new room is for Miss Weed & that I was to bring with me a Mrs. Osborn.” Osborn, Henry 1886-1-5
