Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Harry was still mulling over how to write to Effie’s mother. In the meantime, he wrote of the winter storm, a walk to Lafayette with Miss Whipple, and hanging his new print.

Effie had been to an opera with Harry’s mother and sister Carrie. She also let him know that his family was working out the schedule for her dressmaking.

“I oughtn’t to be compelled to wait till Saturday for what you write on Tuesday.” Osborn, Henry 1886-1-9

“You never doubted me, but believed I had done all I could, and you didn’t cast even a shadow of blame on me.” Osborn, Effie 1886-1-9
