Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Harry wrote about changes at Purdue and continued to rejoice in the improved board in his first letter. His second was mostly a love letter.

Effie complained of being ill but she felt well enough later in the letter to give advice on Harry’s negotiation for the following school year’s salary.

“Miss Whipple has taken Miss Elders room and we are taking hold of her as a specimen for missionary work.” Osborn, Henry 1886-2-13a

“I have had a busy busy day.” Osborn, Henry 1886-2-13b

“I would kick at that if I were you.” Osborn, Effie 1886-2-13
