Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Effie was feeling more kindly toward her mother.

Harry wrote mainly about plans for their wedding and gave Effie a description of Professor Huston (Purdue holds a small collection of the latter’s papers: http://www4.lib.purdue.edu/archon/?p=creators/creator&id=269).

“She wasn’t reasonable, for she was tired out and almost crazy with the beasts in the kitchen.” Osborn, Effie 1886-2-23

“I should like to know who is fishing now.” Osborn, Henry 1886-2-23
