Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Effie wrote just a note because she had been busy buying a sealskin sacque.

Harry complained about what he felt were anachronisms in The Prophet of the Great Smoky Mountains and commiserated with Effie about the impending move. He also gave his opinion about why things go wrong.

“I didn’t dare buy my sacque until she had seen it, for I knew she was a good judge of sealskin, and I did not dare trust my own judgment.” Osborn, Effie 1886-3-4

“The Purdue Scientific Society has been flourishing this year.” Osborn, Henry 1886-3-4
