Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Harry couldn’t explain exactly why he loved Effie. Later in the letter, he shared some Purdue news.

After writing about music, Effie gave Harry advice about looking for another position.

“Darling, I want to quiet any annoyance you may have when I say that I dont find people as deep as ten thousand artesian wells & all that sort of thing.” Osborn, Henry 1886-3-9

“Bessie and I nearly killed ourselves today with hard practise, and we were both utterly stopped.” Osborn, Effie 1886-3-9
