Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Effie had been ill the day before and had a huge fever blister to show for it. Although she had less privacy than usual, she was able to give Harry an answer to the question of whether they should marry that summer.

“You say that you still feel the same about it as when we talked about it, and that you are just as anxious for it, and think it will be safe, and as I haven’t changed my mind I suppose we may as well call it settled.” Osborn, Effie 1886-3-26
