Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Effie caught Harry up on news from home, answered several of his questions, and suggested dates for their wedding.

The two uncles were again subjects of Harry’s letter. He also wrote of making a profit on bookselling.

“Roxy has recovered from her accident (you know she got caught in the skunk trap) and the old black and white cat is dead.” Osborn, Effie 1886-4-12

“I have never heard anything much else of him but that from the earliest times I can recollect him he has been blowing up like a soap bubble & then bursting.” Osborn, Henry 1886-4-12
