Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Effie again wrote extensively about her Uncle Theo’s scheme, as well as other money matters.

“Their principle has always been to take all they could get, while it was going.  That would be my principle too, (for I’d know that if he didn’t spend it one way, he would another, and I’d get all I possibly could,) but it wouldn’t be my principle to spend it as recklessly as they do.” Osborn, Effie 1886-4-16
