Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Harry wrote a love letter today.

Effie’s first letter covered her search for fabric for Harry’s wedding suit and his sisters’ (Sue and Carrie) trip to the City. In the second, she wrote about their wedding trip.

“Darling I guess that house will always have more interest for me than any other New York house for it was your home during the time we were growing so dear to each other.” Osborn, Henry 1886-4-29

“Mr. Underwood’s man is too high toned.” Osborn, Effie 1886-4-29a

“It is already after twelve o’clock, and rather late to begin, but tomorrow my chances for writing will be decidedly slim.” Osborn, Effie 1886-4-29b
