Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Effie devoted her letter to explaining how she was compiling the lists for their wedding invitations and announcements. In the process, she provided us with an explanation of how the Van Sants and Wisners were connected with her and Harry’s families.

“I tho’t I made it clear before but it seems I didn’t, but I hope I have succeeded better this time. I have tried hard enough, & after devoting over ten pages to the subject I ought to have some success, but I am so stupid about putting my ideas on paper that I dont wonder that it is hard to understand me.” Osborn, Effie 1886-5-15
