Henry and Effie Osborn at home

Henry and Effie Osborn

Harry complained again about the lack of letters from his family. He told Effie that the rumor about Mrs. Stockton wasn’t true and described the carpet in his room.

Effie managed to write a fairly lengthy letter in spite of having company most of the day.

“I am very sorry for your mother and I should be so glad if we were not going to be so far away from her, but she will have you in the Summers and it is the way of the world for children & parents to be separated.” Osborn, Henry 1886-5-16

“I dont want to burn that letter.” Osborn, Effie 1886-5-16
